Sweet and Simple: Why Choose Ready-to-apply Blends?

Life can get complicated on any given weekday ... juggling obligations, controlling chaos, encouraging attitudes, tidying rooms, fixing the toaster, keeping track, finding keys, finding the car, getting there and getting home again ... you don’t even have time for breakfast, let alone extra time to research, dilute and blend essential oils.
At Sacred Life we believe in keeping things simple. We know that not everyone has the wherewithal to research, prep, mix, measure and mix their own essential oil blends. That’s why we offer convenient pre-diluted roll-ons ... so that you can still easily enjoy the benefits of natural essential oils ... and maybe get in some breakfast too.
What’s the difference?
Essential oils consist of one simple ingredient. Lavender is packed with just pure extracted lavender. Tea tree is filled with tea tree, nothing else. But full-strength oils are too potent to use directly on the skin. They can create irritation or cause your skin to develop defensive allergies after just a few applications. To make a full-strength oil safe, it needs to be diluted with a natural and neutral carrier oil – coconut oil, jojoba or rosehip, for example.
Carrier oil benefits your skin on its own merit. It helps essential oils to spread to a wider surface area and absorb more deeply. It moisturizes and nourishes. It empowers you to apply essential oils on different skin types with different end goals. With a carrier oil it’s possible to create a gentle and friendly dilutions for kids’ delicate skin, powerful combinations for temporary targeted therapy and potent blends to absorb deep into muscles, joints ... or the bottom of your husband’s feet..
Essential oils and blends that are pre-diluted with a carrier oil are not meant to be used in an ultrasonic diffuser. Carrier oils don’t chemically behave the same way that volatile essential oils do. That doesn’t mean you can’t get aromatherapy benefits from pre-diluted roll-ons – in fact, it’s probably easier to get benefits using these two convenient methods than it is setting up a diffuser!
Direct Breath. For this aromatherapy method simply twist the cap off your favorite prediluted roll-on and breathe in the sweet and beneficial scent. This works especially well if you are at work, school, lunch, or somewhere you need a temporary boost but don’t necessarily want the scent of your blend to interfere or distract people around you.
Palm Aromatherapy. For an experience with a slightly deeper aromatherapy impact, apply your pre-diluted roll-on onto the palms of your hands and wrists. Spend a moment massaging it into your hands and fingers – and then cup your hands gently over the nose and mouth. Breathe in deeply several times, releasing your inhale with a slow and even pace through your mouth. Take a few breaths free of your hands and then repeat the process, cupping your hands over nose and mouth again.
Making Your Life Easier, One Blend at a Time
The big reason we love pre-diluted essential oil blends is convenience. First, you don’t have to purchase multiple products to enjoy a blend (oil+diffuser or oil+carrier oil+roller bottle). Because one size doesn’t fit all, pre-diluted blends make targeting problems easier. If you need an essential oil for spine pain, for instance, you don’t need to fill the entire room with a pain-relieving blend ... you just need it on your spine. Roll-on bottles allow you to use one blend to support healthy skin and simultaneously apply another one to address a headache. Try that with a diffuser.
Pre-diluted blends are also a great entry point for people exploring the sometimes complex essential oil world. You don’t need to be an expert or do research on dilution strengths, carrier oils and appropriate combinations to get the best outcome from a blend. We’ve done all that work for you. Plus our carry-on bottles are portable. Send them to school with your kids, take them to work, or bring them with you on trips to bring natural support and health with you wherever you go.
Finally, pre-diluted roll-ons are a safe way to use essential oils. Not only does the rollerball help to dispense oils in a controlled way to avoid a spill or overdose, but because we’ve have experts determine proper dilution and which essential oils are most appropriate for a blend, you can worry less about issues such as phototoxicity and sensitivity from hot oils.
